The board of directors are the decision-making body on policies that help further the mission of American Board for Child Diabetics.
Jonathon Fite, Managing Partner at KMF Investments (a pure pay-for-performance investment partnership)
Prior to founding the Fund, Mr. Fite was a Senior Manager in the Strategy practice of Accenture LLP. At Accenture, he helped his clients develop innovative new services and solutions and led pricing, market segmentation and process reengineering efforts to enable effective sales and marketing operations. Mr. Fite has also advised his clients in merger and acquisition initiatives, including pre-merger planning and post-merger integration. He brings a strong background in supply chain operations and value analysis to identify opportunity areas for companies to improve their returns to shareholders. Mr. Fite is also an Adjunct Professor for the College of Business at the University of North Texas and the University of Arkansas.
Jonathon Fite worked with Colleen Haupt at Hewlett-Packard for many years on key projects and business development opportunities. He too is familiar with the family history and understand clearly Mrs. Haupt’s passion for the mission to assist struggling families with key offerings to “Bridge the Financial Gap”. His savvy business experience will be key in developing a successful path for this Charity.
Mr. Fite graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas with a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering. He lives in Denton, Texas.
John Hanlon, CFO at Les Concierges
John Hanlon is a CPA with over 25 years working as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for private and public companies as well as a non-profit. John was the CFO of MDL Information Systems where he and Colleen Haupt were colleagues. John knows the story of the Haupt’s grandchildren, understands the capabilities of Colleen Haupt and has agreed to volunteer for our Board of Directors. He was also CFO with various other high tech companies in the Silicon Valley including Synplicity/Synopsis and Nanosys. In addition John served as CFO for the Davis Street Family Resource Center, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to help people with low incomes in the Eden area and its surrounding communities to improve their quality of life through short and long-term assistance.
John’s vast experience as a CFO and, in particular working for a non-profit, makes him a perfect candidate for our Board.
Mr. Hanlon graduated from California State University with a BS in Accounting. He lives in Alamo, California
Martin Dioli, Attorney at Terra-Law
Martin is an experienced trial lawyer representing individuals and companies in both state and federal courts throughout California in a variety of business law disciplines, including contracts, sales (Uniform Commercial Code), business torts, unfair competition and trade secrets, creditor’s rights and bankruptcy, real estate, and intellectual property. Martin is also knowledgeable in small business formation and has counseled and assisted clients in the creation of corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships.
Prior to joining Terra Law in 2003, Martin worked for five years at Pillsbury Winthrop LLP in Silicon Valley where his practice focused mainly on securities and corporate litigation, including representing companies and their officers and directors in securities fraud class actions. Martin also worked for four years at Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley in the firm’s business litigation department where he represented clients in a wide variety of commercial disputes.
Martin studied accounting and finance at Gonzaga University, graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Before starting law school, Martin spent a year of study in the MBA program at Gonzaga’s School of Business and, at the same time, passed the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Exam. While at Gonzaga, Martin was a member of the men’s division 1 college basketball team playing in the West Coast Conference. Martin graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1994, passed the California Bar Exam, and began practicing law that same year. Mr. Dioli lives in Half Moon Bay and is a neighbor of Colleen Haupt.
Jonathan Todd, VP of Marketing and Business Development, 808 Marketing, LLC
Mr. Todd has over 20 years experience in the Marketing and Business Development field. He shares the passion for this cause and immediately developed a relationship Colleen Haupt that evolved into contract negotiations as an independent contractor. Jonathan has been working with Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac) for fifteen years exclusively handling Mick’s marketing, branding and licensing. Mr. Todd created the concept, product and distribution for Mick Fleetwood Private Cellar wine. Jonathan currently co-manages the Mick Fleetwood Island Rumours Band and the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band which was honored in 2010 with a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Blues Album, in which Jonathan was Executive Producer.
Previously, Jonathan was President of Sabre Entertainment, a globally recognized blended arts management, marketing, branding and licensing firm and was VP of Marketing and Sales for Sundance Cruises (owned and operated by the operators of Princess Cruises) and Director of Hotel Operations and Shore Excursions for the exclusive French ocean liners of Regency Cruise Lines, where he honed his hospitality industry and tourism skills.
Mr. Todd lives and works in Maui, Hawaii.
