The board of directors are the decision-making body on policies that help further the mission of American Board for Child Diabetics.
Jonathon Fite, Managing Partner at KMF Investments (a pure pay-for-performance investment partnership)
Prior to founding the Fund, Mr. Fite was a Senior Manager in the Strategy practice of Accenture LLP. At Accenture, he helped his clients develop innovative new services and solutions and led pricing, market segmentation and process reengineering efforts to enable effective sales and marketing operations. Mr. Fite has also advised his clients in merger and acquisition initiatives, including pre-merger planning and post-merger integration. He brings a strong background in supply chain operations and value analysis to identify opportunity areas for companies to improve their returns to shareholders. Mr. Fite is also an Adjunct Professor for the College of Business at the University of North Texas and the University of Arkansas.
Jonathon Fite worked with Colleen Haupt at Hewlett-Packard for many years on key projects and business development opportunities. He too is familiar with the family history and understand clearly Mrs. Haupt’s passion for the mission to assist struggling families with key offerings to “Bridge the Financial Gap”. His savvy business experience will be key in developing a successful path for this Charity.
Mr. Fite graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas with a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering. He lives in Denton, Texas.
John Hanlon, CFO at Les Concierges
John Hanlon is a CPA with over 25 years working as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for private and public companies as well as a non-profit. John was the CFO of MDL Information Systems where he and Colleen Haupt were colleagues. John knows the story of the Haupt’s grandchildren, understands the capabilities of Colleen Haupt and has agreed to volunteer for our Board of Directors. He was also CFO with various other high tech companies in the Silicon Valley including Synplicity/Synopsis and Nanosys. In addition John served as CFO for the Davis Street Family Resource Center, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to help people with low incomes in the Eden area and its surrounding communities to improve their quality of life through short and long-term assistance.
John’s vast experience as a CFO and, in particular working for a non-profit, makes him a perfect candidate for our Board.
Mr. Hanlon graduated from California State University with a BS in Accounting. He lives in Alamo, California
Martin Dioli, Attorney at Terra-Law
Martin is an experienced trial lawyer representing individuals and companies in both state and federal courts throughout California in a variety of business law disciplines, including contracts, sales (Uniform Commercial Code), business torts, unfair competition and trade secrets, creditor’s rights and bankruptcy, real estate, and intellectual property. Martin is also knowledgeable in small business formation and has counseled and assisted clients in the creation of corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships.
Prior to joining Terra Law in 2003, Martin worked for five years at Pillsbury Winthrop LLP in Silicon Valley where his practice focused mainly on securities and corporate litigation, including representing companies and their officers and directors in securities fraud class actions. Martin also worked for four years at Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley in the firm’s business litigation department where he represented clients in a wide variety of commercial disputes.
Martin studied accounting and finance at Gonzaga University, graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Before starting law school, Martin spent a year of study in the MBA program at Gonzaga’s School of Business and, at the same time, passed the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Exam. While at Gonzaga, Martin was a member of the men’s division 1 college basketball team playing in the West Coast Conference. Martin graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1994, passed the California Bar Exam, and began practicing law that same year. Mr. Dioli lives in Half Moon Bay and is a neighbor of Colleen Haupt.
Leslie A. Rubin, CEO and Author, Image Matterz Consulting
Ms. Rubin is the CEO of Image Matterz Consulting, a global executive and strategic communications consultancy. Her clients are C-level business leaders and executives who rely on her to help them build and increase their executive brand and communication skills for maximum impact. She is regarded as an expert in executive communications.
She is the co-author of the best-selling book MEANING: How Leaders Create Meaning and Clarity During Times of Crisis and Opportunity. A leadership communications book developed with case studies and real-life stories to help inspire new and current leaders on the importance of communication during times of crisis and opportunity.
With a passion for communications and personal branding, she started Image Matterz in 2006. Since then, she has been working with executives and communication teams to be their best both on and off the “stage.”
Ms. Rubin also consultants for various leadership programs including WOMEN Unlimited, Inc. and is a faculty member for the American Management Association.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Nutrition from California State University, East Bay, and completed graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.
She is passionate about mentoring men and women to help them see the greatness in themselves.
